The Czech Olympic Committee has presented a new partnership with VINCI Construction CS at an event attended by top athletes including sprint canoeist Josef Dostál, slalom canoeist Tereza Fišerová, beach volleyball players Ondřej Perušič and David Schweiner, and shooter Jakub Tomeček. The largest construction group in the Czech Republic will also support the National Youth Sport Festival.
The project, which will celebrate its twentieth anniversary this winter, helps to motivate children to take part in sport. “Raising talent, building sound foundations, building team spirit. This is what sport and construction have in common. We have been building roads, railways, bridges or houses in the Czech Republic for more than seventy years and we want the company to continue developing and growing in a healthy way,” says Martin Borovka, CEO of VINCI Construction CS Group at the press conference.
“We know that the current difficult economic situation represents a threat to Czech sport. The fact that we are becoming partners of the Czech Olympic Team and the National Youth Sport Festival means that we can direct our help to the regions in which we operate, and as many children as possible will have the opportunity to participate in sport, exercise and lead a healthy lifestyle,” added Borovka.
